I thought it was interesting there was a change in trajectory from chapter 12 onwards. It went from the benefits of wisdom to the people of God in Chapter 11 to more topics on idolatry and later the exodus.

Yeah I do like it. I am reading the Torah right now, though. Hopefully, some other folks here will jump on this conversation.

Yeah thats amazing and creepy(in a good way) that it portrays Christ so exactly.

The book is often attacked as not being written by Solomon. It does not claim to be - only that it expresses wisdom in the manner of Solomon. As to sudden changes, there are believed to be two authors of Isaiah (proto and deutero Isaiah) and some of the other OT books. This may be the case with Wisdom. Going further back, Moses certainly did not write about his death and burial, for example. It depends on the manuscripts used, of which there are quite a few, but no originals - just copies of copies of copies some with quite a few differences.

Actually the book of Wisdom may be divided into three parts. In the first six chapters, the author admonishes all superiors to love and exercise justice and wisdom. In the next three, he teaches that wisdom proceeds only from God, and is procured by prayer and a good life. In the other ten chapters, he shows the excellent effects and utility of wisdom and justice.
