Anyone saddened by the Irish vote as some of us are?

It will be reversed, because homosexuality is not just sin, it is inimical to civil society.

A society without homosexuals is not weakened in any way, but if everybody were homosexual, it would perish.

So the pendulum will swing back, but possibly not before the EC and NA both collapse.

ICXC NIKA.
Dear GEddie,

I wouldn’t count on it being reversed, unless there is a great renewal of faith in the Irish voting population. It is possible of course, but as things look today, it would require a miracle of grace in Ireland and Europe. I continue to pray for North America, and especially to the Immaculate Conception under whose Patronage, the United States of America was placed early in our history.

Did you read the blog entry which I lined in my original post? There are lessons for America in this recent, sad vote in Ireland. The blog can be read HERE

O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to you.

Plenty of things have ‘spread’ and have then. . .disappeared.

Where are the followers of Arias?

At one time I would have asked “Where are the Albigensians” as that heresy also died out hundreds of years ago. . .but lately I rather suspect that it’s sprouted up again, and is attempting to take over current society. However, it will fail again. A pity that it will once again need a Crusade to unite Christians against heretics of all stripes. . .and by ‘against’ I don’t necessarily mean that we’ll need to protect ourselves and our Faith with swords, although for some it may come to that (those facing the jihadists). . . I mean that against such moral turpitude and evil masquerading as truth, our best weapon will BE the Truth of the Catholic Faith, lived out to the best of our ability.
Dear Tantum Ergo,

Thanks for your reply. It is true that heresies have been defeated in the past. I’ve often thought of the quote I read about Arianism: “The whole world was groaning under Arianism” (maybe not exact but close). It is also true that heresies can resurface under different names. We will never be without temptations nor will we be without troubles in the world. Jesus, however has over come the world and our Peace is always in Him.

When we look at both Old and New Testaments we see the battle of evil against good goes way, way back. The battle cry of Lucifer was “I will not serve” but St. Michael the Archangel defeated him, and stood for God. The mission remains for us to overcome evil with the Good News of Jesus. St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle!

We need to resist evil, steadfast in our faith (1 Peter 5). St. Peter knew well what it was to be tempted and to fall but he also knew what it was to rise by God’s grace to serve the Lord unto death. I wonder if the persecution our brothers and sisters in the Middle East are facing will come to us in the USA. If so, I pray we are ready to give our lives as some have already done. Yes, let us know the Truth, love the Truth and live the Truth.
