All of these things “can” be fit in, if the desire is there, I suspect. But for most of us, we simply lack the energy or desire when we have a moment of free time. And money becomes tighter, as was noted. Again, I could get up even earlier, but I am carnky 50% of the time now (surly the other 50%). Being even more tired wouldn’t benefit any of us in my family. All things in good time.

Words of truth! Thats why i plan thing in advance. Big family = need for much money!
And something that might seem very important get less important when other things takes its place.
Just gotta makes some crazy good strategies to make everything work

I get your point! But I don’t think its impossible cus babies come one at a time maybe two at a time. So of course family #1 but what i meant is maybe more the mindset than being a explorers a lá Indiana Jones.

And i know how hard it is to have a big family! one of nine. But that has never stoped my parents from doing pretty amazing things! And we traveled, maybe not that much but we did! Now the thing iv realized is that the biggest obstacle for freedom to travel is money. At least for my family. But that isn’t a problem for me. So i was more wondering if there was a girl out there who was just interested to not just sit on the butt all life which many of the people around me does Not my parents though, who are my role models.

And I’m not really saying you must dress nice all time! Same goes for the other point i said! I meant more the mentality! I know that having children is more hard work than Hollywood fame wants to frame it as! 6 sisters and half of them have like 5-7 kids each so i know pretty much everything about kids

Gym is a hobby of mine and after some years i cant se how it cant be fit into a schedule even if one has 1 or 5 kids.

But i totally get your point! Many have this romantic view of marriage that they will live a Hollywood movie or such… well, welcome to reality where kids throw up on your new suit at Christmas even 2 min before going to church. well you know.

Problems come and go! Its how you deal with them that makes you different from others and that was where I’am interested in. And the goals of the life.

So iv noticed that many things like travel tag along with a more adventures personality and that was more what i was searching for. Hard to describe a person iv never met in some few words. sorry if i came of wrong!

If you think you’re going to be well-off, you can make a lot of stuff work that would be difficult for other families–travel, gym, clothes, etc. Regular household help can also reduce stress and chaos.

I did do study abroad and Peace Corps service before I met my husband. After that, it’s primarily been just family travel, but we did manage a trip in our early newlywed years where we visited family in Germany, had a day in Vienna, visited family/did academic work/did sight seeing in Warsaw, Krakow and Lublin. It was a great trip and I cherish the memory–but it was the last of its kind.

I haven’t gone outside the US and Canada since the late 1990s, although I’d love too–things just get much more complicated and expensive when it’s not just one or two people traveling.

I travel with a large family. I go about it by churning credit cards for airlines and hotels. Get the card, spend the minimum to collect the points, cancel the card, then repeat every two years. Once I add in the points I get from my own travel I can get a family trip to Europe about every 5 years. I’m not sure if it’s worth it sometimes but it can be done. So far we had a trip to Norway that was just brilliant and a trip to Italy (hospitals are too poor for us to visit again) that was an absolute disaster. If everything goes according to plan we will be looking at Scotland in 2020. The one thing that I will say is that children get sick when they travel. Every. Single. Time. Their little systems just aren’t built for the stress of leaving the house. So yea, it can be done it’s just a question of whether or not it’s worth it.

I can be done! Just gotta plan in advance!

My plan to solve these kinds of problems is to just get rich Easier said than done but God seems to help me when it comes to money (not girls though… )

Scotland is rly awesome! Been to Norway, neighbor country to us. Its rly beautiful but not their capital… its awful! And everything is crazy expensive there!!.. a 2/4 gallon of coke is around 8 dollar…
You should visit Switzerland! Its gorgeous!

Sorry, I married her. She isn’t Swedish though. And travelling the world has been replaced by “likes to occasionally step out of the house of exhausting children into the sunlight by herself.” And we met on Catholic Match, and I saw others on Ave Maria as well.

Well actually i trust God pretty much more than anyone even my parents! So i know he will send someone but im still human and that takes its tolls!

Well I’v thought about it actually! After lots of searching iv given up to find her myself. So for now im trying to just build my future as best i can and leave it up to God to solve it!

Im in different youth groups and keep in touch with a lot of Catholics. I give God the possibilities to make me met the one, so to say.

One of my personal credos is a no-fly rule between 1-3 years of age. Infants are fine. 4 is even better than 3, because the car seat issue gets so much simpler.

We did a lot of air travel to family when our oldest kids were little, and I kind of wonder now why we bothered.

We haven’t seen so much illness for travel to family, but expensive vacations do seem to stir up the bugs.
