I realise this is a little late as a response, but then everything in God’s timing is best.

I enjoy Soaking and believe it is very close to some of the early monastic contemplation. I have written about it in my Blog at scjesus.co.uk/b2evolution

It is allowing God to speak into your heart. Spirit to spirit. It is the place of Mary, where we allow God to cover us and allow Him to lift us up on eagle wings. So that we may have an intimacy which many words cannot attain to.

To sit of lie down listening to some gentle worship music helps you attune yourself to the heartbeat of Abba. If you go to sleep, don’t worry, that is fine. Just allow yourself to be caught up in the loving arms of your heavenly Father, whose desire is that you know the furious longing of His heart of love in Jesus, This is not something you can rationalize it is relational and something we Catholics find hard, especially in regard to His unconditional love.

We so often rush about like Martha, when the real good part is to be still, like Mary, and just listen to the gentle voice of Jesus.

Whatever you do, may you know His love for you.

Live loved.
