Anyone watching some religious films this weekend?

I’m watching The Passion of the Christ tonight, and tomorrow The Reluctant Saint. On Sunday Ben Hur. :angel1:
 
Might do the Passion of the Christ again. Maybe Jesus of Nazareth tomorrow.
 
I also watched the Passion of the Christ this morning. When the Holy Mother helps Christ up in the street it is just overwhelming to watch.

I also want to see “Risen” that is out in theatres now. Has anyone seen it?

Yes…“Risen” is a must see movie…you will enjoy it…also we watched the Passion of the Christ yesterday

I highly recommend Risen!!! Excellent movie…now some of my church of Christ friends claim un-biblical"🤷 …uh duh, it’s a movie…

anyway, it was an excellent faith building movie…👍

I watch the Passion of Christ the night before Good Friday on Holy Thursday every year. It’s kind of a tradition I started for myself.
 
I watched The Passion and Maria Goretti so far. I usually watch The Ten Commandments as well. I thin I will also watch Therese; I’m doing the 33 day consecration to Divine Mercy and want to watch her story again.
 
I watch Jesus of Nazareth on Palm Sunday and the passion of the Christ on good Friday.
 
Watched The Greatest Story Ever Told today and will probably watch it again on Holy Saturday. ABC is running The Ten Commandments on Saturday, too.

On Sunday, TCM is showing King of Kings, so I’ll definitely see that one then.

And then, of course, there was the EWTN cartoon titled “The Way of the Cross for Kids” with the little ones this afternoon. 🙂
 
I might go see Risen tomorrow. It is showing at the Tygart Valley Cinema about half an hour south of me, down to one showtime per day.
 
I came in shortly after the beginning of the “Jesus” movie on the UP channel, stuck around for Greatest Story Ever Told and The Passion of the Christ.
 
We typically watch one on Good Friday every year, generally The Passion of the Christ. This year we watched 2014’s Son of God (The Bible mini-series re-edited into a movie format). It was pretty good, but not great.

We were going to see Risen on Good Friday, but I had an expiring free movie pass, so we saw it the previous weekend. I recommend it highly! 🙂
