Very touched by your kindness, thank you so much for encouraging me.

Aww you remembered his name. Now I’m tearing up. Thank you Patty❤️He’s the sweetest gift in my life right now. I do struggle with finding things to occupy him but he’s good at independent play, he’s just always in the living room or dining room, we don’t go outside since it got cold, we used to go on daily walks. Upstairs is not fully baby proofed so he just sleeps there. I just feel he’s cooped up in our small living room and dining room all day. Sometimes he’ll be in the kitchen but I just feel like I need to show him something new every day or he’ll be bored, and that creativity takes up a lot of my mental energy and mom guilt when there’s just nothing new to show him. which is often. I do put tv on sometimes but I shut it often because baby shows really give me a headache with the high pitch singing. Today I actually sat to watch a quick cooking show and he immediately and contently stopped watching his show and went to play. He truly is the greatest joy.

I emphasize with you, I’m stuck at home caring for my disabled husband and a six year old who has online school four hours a day, plus homework. I’m dealing with high stress as well, and probably covid fatigue which apparently is a thing now.

I doubt that toddlers care much that they are in the same environment all the time. they just want to be close to mommy. I would put zoo programs on TV if I were in that situation. Animals are endlessly fascinating. I know it’s TV, but survival comes first.

Your desire to be grateful for having work is great. Someone suggested that to combat stress we should 1) make a gratitude list, 2) pursue some activity that we love (hobby? maybe yours is spending time with your baby) and 3) having something to look forward to.
This will not last forever. God bless.

Thank you so much Viki, I absolutely love the idea of zoo shows and will do it, he loves watching animals, in fact he’s also more interested in books that show real things too versus weird cartoony photos. I think I will tape the list to my kitchen, and that visual of that homeless mom puts me in check too.
I pray the Lord keep granting you His strength, peace and joy in your situation, and thank you again for sharing your experience and for your encouragement.God bless you ❤️:pray:t2:
