Well it certainly involves lots of immorality in general and things that the Church would probably condemn like drug abuse such as steroids and painkillers, mindless violence, the objectification of women, vulgar humour, etc. The sport itself is not inherently sinful but it is mired in such things that are very tempting and can lead to living a sinful lifestyle. It could be okay in certain circumstances…

I’m not sure if you want to be an actual wrestler, like in the Olympics, or a one like in the WWE.
I don’t see anything morally wrong with either. If you are a “real” wrestler, you are participating in a sport.
If your goal is to be part of the WWE, then you know it’s scripted; the supposed violence is just that - supposed. No wrestler in the WWE intentionally hurts another wrestler. Dolph Ziggler and the Miz are best friends.
I admit to watching WWE wrestling. I have a third degree black belt in taekwondo, and I also watch MMA as well.

Okay, thanks. I don’t see anything morally wrong with that. You just have to do what you’d do in any occupation - stay away from drugs, don’t indulge in lust, profanity, etc., and you seem pretty committed to do that, to remain faithful to your religion.
I wouldn’t engage in any sinful behaviour, not on my life if I were to become a professional wrestler. That’s why I said in a post above, that I’m going to be very influenced by my Catholicism.

Trust me friend, if I’m worthy of the namesake I hold on this forum, I won’t be commuting myself to sinful behaviour, not at all. I’ll be staunchly Catholic in look and attitude if I become a wrestler!

Amateur wrestling is actually pretty popular in my neck of the woods. I know of at least one of them that was murdered (a friend of mine), and I think that may have been over drugs. I don’t see anything inherently wrong with wrestling (I will ask my mother about professional, since she has more experience with that than I do), but please know that not everything is going to be perfect. The mask would be about the end of it, but as people have mentioned above, it is something I’m very passionate about. That’s why this summer, I’m going to spending it getting into shape. Not exactly the bodybuilders you’d see Vince McMahon loving but definitely getting fitter so that you wouldn’t get knackered halfway through a match!
