Yes, my Priest yesterday in his Homily mentioned how hard it is to rejoice in anticpation of Christmas after what happened on Friday. An older gentleman who gave the prayer intentions following the Creed broke down and cried as he offered a prayer intention for the victims and their families.

Our priest had small red candles, probably 20, set on a table next to the alter and turned off the lights in the sanctuary. He spoke of how we have to be very careful theologically on how we talk to our children, not to say it’s God’s will or He called them to Heaven. He really impressed on us how sad God is that these children’s lives were snuffed out; that He would have wept too. The priest then played a song. It was like a memorial, very beautiful. Lots of sniffling and wiping of tears.
