AP: Vatican to review American seminaries

I wish they were scheduled to start inspection this spring.

The reason that our priest act the way they do is because it the way they were trained in the Seminaries. Not really their fault if you think about it. Its hard for people to just put aside what they learned.

I wish they would start with Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans.
A sesspool of filth and A satanic city.

Many good priest quit out of disgust and looked for Orders to join because of what happened to them there.

I know nothing about this seminary other than my favorite book, Unabridged Christiantiy, was penned by a Priest from that seminary, Fr. Mario Romero.

A sesspool of filth and A satanic city. granted, new orleans has its problems, but i think it has one of the stronger catholic identities in the country. i know of at least two instructors at the seminary who are excellent orthodox priests that serve at the tridentine mass. i’ve talked to one of theologians and he was totally orthodox. the seminarians i know are going to be excellent priests as well.

why do you say this?

Because of the Horror stories of men that went there and were hit on and touched by instructors. Thats Why. They left and became Ordered Priest.

Several Priest (at least 4) in the Lafayette Diocese told me that they faked being liberal in order to get through that seminary. They also told of horrors there.

Dont be fooled.

The priest I spoke with on the Western end of the Lafayette Diocese told me personally not to be fooled by those at Notre Dame. They seek acceptance from all corners of the ArchDiocese, even the Carmelites, but they fool no one.

If what I was told by priest, nuns, and deacons were of maybe one instance, I would write it off. However, this sort of scandal has been going on for years and years.

you simply cannot make such accusations on a public forum without attribution and evidence. your hearsay is not reliable evidence. Provide sources and documentation or cease slinging mud.

** I can simply do and say anything I want to. We are still living in a semi-free country. This is not China!

I stated what I was told by Priest. Not hearsay. Direct verbal communication by those that suffered in seminary.
What do you want Pornographic Pictures as proof?

Besides, this is common knowledge anyway. Why is the Vatican investigating in the first place?
Do you read the news? What about the seminary in Europe just closed by the Pope? Do you think the American Seminaries are better than Europe’s?

I dont have to provide a darn thing. The proof is in the fruit that our priest seem to provide the laity these days.**
