It is indeed true that the Catholic Church spends more money on charities than any other organization or government in the world.
Yet its primary mission in this world is to care for the spiritual welfare of the person. No need to re-invent something that works better than anything else in this world - just add your support to Her efforts.

Also, monks in monasteries prayed constantly, but God clearly didn’t appreciate their efforts - the monasteries got destroyed (punishment for locking yourself away and not helping anyone at all).

With a tiny bit of research you’ll find that monasteries were charitable institutions. They nursed the literal and figurative leppers of society, as well serving, at times, as the only centres of knowledge and learning in the world. They were attacked and pillaged by all sorts - from vikings to protestant ‘christians’.
And are still attacked and pressured verbally by many…

The only way to solve poverty in Africa is 1.) political stability in the region, 2.) free trade between Africa and the West and, 3.) ending farm subsidies in Europe and North America. Pray and donate all you want but it will avail you nothing.

No idea? Not a surprise.
Perhaps God is not going to solve this problem for us. Rather, He expects us to act like men and do something about it ourselves. He has given us much, so many gifts, why ought He to give us even more? We have a responsibility to act and to act wisely; a responsibility that is made greater because our international and domestic policies only contribute to Africa’s poverty.
The people of Africa have been blessed with the ingenuity, the abilities, and the resources to live well in this life but they are born into societies which do not respect that. They do not have the liberty or the justice they deserve, and the profit motive is nowhere to be seen.
Our farm subsidies allow our farmers to be bad farmers and still live like Kings, always having a market for their produce. African farmers do not have that, and they never will. It is not a level playing field and it is not fair. As such Africa is left in poverty. This poverty is one of the many contributors to violence and strife in the region, which in turn creates greater poverty. Is their economic situation completely to blame? No. But throughout the rest of the world those peoples who are economically well to do are peaceful enough no matter what their differences. The same could be had in Africa if they had a chance.
It is not because we do not pray; we do. It is not because we are not charitable; we are. It is because there is no stability because there is no prosperity… and there never will be.

I would like you to show me one farmer living like a king.
Anyway, we do need to aid the poor, but that does not mean we cannot pray as well. Basically it sounds like the OP is placing works about prayer, and some have probably placed prayer above works, but we need both.

There is apparently an awful lot at that site, and I do not have time to go through it looking for things to discuss. Is there anything in particular that is bugging you?
If I may offer some perspective, if the Apocalypse is happening right now, what should we do? I think we should worship God, seek and follow God’s will for our lives, and live in the tranquillity of knowing that God is in control of everything.
On the other hand, if the Apocalypse is not happening now, what should we do? I think we should worship God, seek and follow God’s will for our lives, and live in the tranquillity of knowing that God is in control of everything.
If I may speak to your point about “prayer is good but not if it gets in the way,” Martin Luther King used to say that unless he spent a couple of hours in prayer every morning he never had enough time to get things done during the day. Certainly work while you pray, and pray while you work, but if you have to choose one over the other choose prayer. Saving the world is not your job or mine. Saving your soul (or mine, in my case) is.

The Apocalyse is happening right now, and it is essential to spread the word as quickly as possible and organise ourselves to do what God requires of us. You do have enough time to read the apocalypse, and that is a requirement of you as a Christian.

Also, we have an organization to let us do what God requires of us; it’s called the Catholic Church. If you read the website you would have noticed the key point which is that Christians have been following the outward form of the Christian religion for the past 1400 years (2 Timothy 3:1-9). In fact the Catholic (and every other Church) do not follow the true Christian faith by definition. Therefore you don’t have an organisation to let you do what God requires of you which is why there is a profusion of false religions, false ideologies and 2.5 billion people living on less than $2 a day. There is a rush to tell you about the apocalypse because it is nearly the end of time.

(a) Follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit, especially any correction (illness etc) you might receive and any direct communication. Direct communication from the Holy Spirit is not ambiguous and it doesn’t tell you to sin.
(b) Keep in touch with the Bible and its true meaning.
(c) Try to follow the true Christian faith. This means following Jesus.
(d) Don’t idolise (your average Christian participates in hundreds of idolatrous activities every day, owns a car which burns oil which is sourced from sin and costs a fortune and kills people and flies to distant parts of the world for their holidays twice a year).
John 13:34 “Love your neighbour as I have loved you.” This is a much more explicit statement than Love your neighbour as yourself. After all, you might love your neighbour by ingratiation because that is how you like to be loved. But it is certainly not the Christian ethic and Jesus did not love like this. Jesus was prepared to die for us, that is the ultimate extent of his love. He was prepared to die to teach us the correct way to live. His death represented the unjust suffering of someone who was innocent because of the sins of the guilty. He did die for our sins (because of the way that the time line works – the only way to teach us now was for him to die 2000 years ago). He did not die to win you a “get out of jail free” card. When he was dying on the cross, it did not run through his mind “Hurray, now that I’ve died on this cross, everyone in the future is free to sin.” Jesus would never die on the cross to achieve such an aim, and if you think this, then you have an extremely low view of both him and God. He was prepared to die to teach people how to live in order to
(a) Make them acceptable to God the Father
(b) Ease the suffering of those who bear the punishment of the sins of the guilty
A Church follows neither commandment of Jesus. Instead, it pusues an idolatrous form of the religion (worshipping at the alter of hymns, organs, men in fancy cloths, in palaces - cathedrals, spending money on insurance and upkeep of expensive buildings rather than the poor, not attempting to convert anyone - and even if they do they only convert them to the outward form of the religion).
Consequntly there are 2.5 billion people living on less than $2 a day, the middle east is in flames, thousands die of poverty, starvation and disease, and still all a Church can think to do is to sing hymns!
Hence it is the end of time, because God can’t allow it to continue. Please examine the apocalypse.
