Hello. I’m wondering the about the apocalyptic beliefs of the catholic church. If anyone can help it would be most appreciated!🙂

I did quite a bit of reading into the official position of the Catholic Church on this subjecta couple of years ago. I was reading Revelation and wanted to understand it much better. I’m sure there are many others on this forum that will explain it better than I. However, I encourage you to read for yourself. Not everybody that responds is necessarily right. What I do remember is that the Catholic Church’s interpretation of revelations does not support Millenialism. Sure I spelled that wrong. That belief requires a third coming, which scripture does not support. The media though espouses this interpretation as certain. It is not. Use the google. Type “Catholic” first, then simply write out your question. Good luck on your journey.

May the Holy Spirit open your heart and your mind to the good news that on the last day we will be reunited with our true father in heaven.

I’ve read it several times, I love it! I was wonder the way the Church interprets it? Like I know the Lutherans think we are in the tribulation now and there will be a final battle in the future and if you have no faith in Jesus you are damned. Some other denomination believe that all the Christians will be taken to heaven before the tribulation will begin, and after that the devil and company will be locked away for 1000 year and Jesus will come and rule during that period. Then others believe that Christians will have to endure the tribulation and then are takin’ up to heaven. I was wondering what the Catholic believed about the tribulation?🙂

Yes, I read this as well. I think it’s referred to as pre and post millenialism. I tend to think we are now in the tribulation.
