Perhaps a thread has already been posted about this topic, I apologize, I didn’t really go looking for one. But, as a student of all ancient lore, regardless of culture, religion,or superstitions, I’m always eager to absorb as much knowledge as I can. So, is there any means by which I can get my hands on any of the Apocrypha texts, in order to study them?

As for why I would want to, for the same reasons,I have studied the Zohar, and purchased reprints of books by Friar Roger Bacon, I have a passion for ancient knowledge and lore.

If by “apocryha text” you mean the deuterocanonical books, they may be found in any Catholic edition of The Bible. If you are looking for books “banned from the Bible”, like the gospel of Mary, Thomas etc. I suggest Google.
 
Those and I am also looking for anything clearly defining the natures, possible appearances of, and/or names of specific demons. Not light reading, I know, but I have my reasons, specifically dealing with some of the dreams I have. How I wish my ‘nightmares’ were so mild as being naked at work, or something like that. Instead I dream of apocalyptic things. Absolutely honest on this, I dreamed Revelations before I ever read it. Still creeps me out, to think back to that.

The Rite by Matt Baglio

There is also one or two authored by Fr. Gabriel Amorth…via google the author.
 
Look for gnostic gospels. Try the Nag Hammadi writings or just general gnosticism. I always find those things interesting to read but never to actually get into and believe. Hopefully you will find what you are looking for. Or you could go into your like local used bookstore and look for a section that is sometimes called Gnosticism, or Occult, or something along those lines.

Read Interview with an Exorcist by Fr. José Fortea. It has a lot of great detail on their nature. It’s a work that is based on both study (he got a PhD in this stuff) and practical experience. It’s really good.

Peter Kreeft also has a book on the subject, but I can’t remember the exact title at the moment. It is something along the lines of “What do we really know about angels and demons?”

As a former armchair occult enthusiast with a focused interest on demons and demonology, I have to put an obligatory comment of warning. I’ll not presume to understand your intentions or reasonings, nor will I presume anything I say will dissuade you from your persuit. I know nothing anyone ever told me kept me from my persuit of the same information your are seeking (It was quite literally divine intervention that brought it to a stop for me). So take this as a formality, if nothing else.

I never was a practitioner, just an armchair enthusiast. I collected books and read a lot. The older, the better, as I was always trying to track down the original source of information. But, as I eventually found out, even this purely academical approach to the subject was enough of an invite to bring demons into my life. I won’t go into details here, you can PM me if you’re interested in that. I’ll simply say that the presence of such were revealed to me by a sheer act of grace and the event changed my life completely.

I hope you find the information you need (which might be quite different than the information you seek) in order to bring you peace and understanding. Above all, though, I encourage you to pray about it. Pray for the answers to your questions. You might not get the answers you expect or in the way that you expect, but I guarantee they will be more than satisfying answers. They were for me.
 
It depends on what you mean.

If you mean what Catholics would call Deuterocanon (Tobit, Judith, 1/2 Maccabees, Wisdom, Sirach, more of Daniel, and more of Esther), look up any Catholic Bible. I recommend the RSV-CE.

If you mean the books used by Eastern Orthodox Churches, but not Catholics, look up one of their translations.

If you mean the books that Catholics and EO alike reject from the Bible, just do a Google search, I suppose. Although I do know the Protoevangelium of James is available on EWTN’s website.

The Apocrypha is what Protestant Christians call the 7 deuterocanonical books of the Old Testament that were removed in the early 1500’s during the Reformation. Buy a Catholic bible or a bible that contains the “apocrypha.”

Actually, no. From what I’ve heard, the book labelled “Apocrypha” also includes a few books that Catholics would also consider apocryphal. Such as Esdras and Manasses.

Esdras and the prayers of Manasseh are deuturocanonical in the Orthodox church. You probably aren’t going to find those in most Bibles containing the apocrypha either way.
 
A good Catholic Bible will give you the deuterocanon as recognized by the Roman Catholic Church. You can also find a copy of the Septuagint alone, some of which is recognized by Orthodox Christians, but not the RCC. There’s also New Oxford Ecumenical Study Bible – I’m not a fan of the translation, but it identifies and contains books that are recognized by various Christian churches. It doesn’t contain all the books recognized by the Ethiopian Orthodox Church (such as the Book of Enoch), but it’s still a pretty comprehensive reference.

For books that are not recognized as canonical by any church, I’d suggest:

The Other Bible, Willis Barnstone
The Gnostic Bible, Marvin Meyer and Willis Barnstone
The Gnostic Scriptures, Bentley Layton
The Nag Hammadi Scriptures, Marvin Meyer and James Robinson.
