Looking for book recommendation on apoligetics . I know there are many good ones , but specifically looking for somthing simple easy reading that adresses common objections protestants raise.

Or a book that just presents the case for the Catholic church in simple easy reading.
Thank you

Two that have been recommended here that I purchased

Unabridged Christianity - a very valuable book that merits anyone’s attention

The Catholic Source Book - also valuable but not so much as an apologetic “call and response”. If you study it though, you will be very well schooled on the subject

A third one is The Didache Bible which has much useful information on every page. It has dedicated apologetics pages but also weaves the bible text in and out with the catechism for a better understanding of the scripture. I highly recommend it.

The Catholic Verses - Dave Armstrong. Each chapter takes a Catholic belief or practice, describes Protestant objections, and refutes the objections with scripture and arguments.

Handbook for Christian Apologetics by Peter Kreeft
That’s a good one. My first apologetics book was “Handbook of Catholic Apologetics”

I was thinking of that but isn’t it geared more towards Christan apologetics and not specifically Catholic apologetics refuting Protestant objections to Catholic belief and practices, which is what the OP is looking for? Regardless that is definitely a good one.

If you want Catholic apologetics against Protestants then anything by Jimmy Akin is good, because Jimmy Akin was a former Protestant. For apologetics against atheists and skeptics there are a lot of other books

The best one for what you described IMO is What Catholics Really Believe by Karl Keating from Catholic Answers. It’s in Q&A format with shorter but detailed answers and covers a host of topics.

Kreeft & Tacelli actually have 2 versions of essentially the same book: Handbook of Christian Apologetcis and Handbook of Catholic Apologetics. The books are identical except for the Catholic one adds a chapter to the end that looks at those specifically Catholic issues.

If you are looking for simple, easy-to-read answers to common Protestant objections, I would probably recommend the Apologetics booklet series from San Juan Catholic Seminars.

I found Trent Horn’s The Case For Catholicism to be excellent for explaining the Protestant objections and explaining the Catholic justifications for their practices and beliefs.

As a non Christian this book was easy for me to understand and used biblical references for the apologetics…something important to do with Protestants views of sola scriptura.
