I run a Mens’ Spirituality group and am wanting to include appologetics in our meetings. Does anyone have any good resources that can be used in a group seting. We like material with discussion questions and scripture references. Any ideas??

again had to look in every forum to reply to post, apologetics might have been a good place to put this thread

go back to the CA homepage, select shop, clip apologetics topics, and beginning apologetics series, the books are numbered, and topics listed.

word of advice, decide what the focus of your group should be. If it is spirituality, focus on that, if you want a shift to apologectics, form an apologetics club for those that are interested, but maintain the spirituality group. these are not the same thing. not mutually exclusive, but confusing the focus can result in members being disappointed at not getting “what they signed up for”

I would highly recommend “What Catholics Really Believe” by Dr. Ray Guarendi. It’s in DVD format with a free study guide available from Ninevahs Crossing. The DVD is broken into 30 minute sessions, so that works well with most groups. The study guide has Scripture references, as well as catechism references. 👍

Maybe Karl Keating’s book in that format?
What Catholics Really Believe-Setting the Record Straight: 52 Answers to Common Misconceptions About the Catholic Faith

Or the famous “Radio Replies” Q&A apologetics from the 1940s. Available for viewing online, or in book format.

Or Scriptural apologist John Martignoni’s Bible Answers to Fundamentalist Questions, available as 3-CD set.
