Second Life is a new phenomena in the internet realms. Evangelicals are already quite busy in SL, we catholics can’t stay behind. Anyone here has good ideas to bring the propaganda fidëi to SL?
What do you mean? Links about Second life?Links? information? clue? sources?
yes as in most of us don’t have a clue what you are talking about. What do you mean? Links about Second life?
For a successful ministry in SL, I would propose two prongs of approach. The first would be something along the lines of a Catholic Evidence Guild a real person bureau of presenters who would host seminars and Q & A Sessions. The second would be informational kiosks that could distribute the equivalent of printed material for reading. The nice thing too is in SL you can have links to websites etc...
I can help I think with making the kiosks. For the bureau, I would recommend forming a group where you can get people to donate their land allowance so that a decent parcel of "land" can be owned and a virtual lecture hall built with some method of moderating Q & A. There are many people who can help develop the hall and system for the in-game currency.
The problems faced will be the same Catholic ministries have faced elsewhere: Vandalism, mobbing, etc... The good news is that with proper planning it should be far easier to recover from such attacks in a virtual world.
If anyone is interested in pursuing this send a message to Cdm014 Breed in-game.
I’m not familiar with the game but if its an MMO game then maybe something like Theology on Tap?It’s a good idea.
Just make sure you preserve an element of fun, because otherwise you’ll only be visited by overly serious cranks.People don’t have to visit you; you have to make them want to.
