Apostolic succession

[LizS]

I apologise if this has been asked before. I did try to search for it but I have failed to find anything.

I believe that I have seen a passage in one of the Gospels in which Jesus gives authority to His disciples to appoint others. Can anyone help me find this?

Thank you and may God bless you
Liz
