I am a Protestant who has become interested in the Catholic faith. For the sake of argument, let’s agree that the apostles, by God’s authority, were able to pass on their authority to others.
Let’s also assume that St. Paul (“God’s chosen instrument”) passed this authority on resulting in the establishment of churches.
Why then (as far as I have seen which, again, is limited) is there no mention in Sacred Tradition of the churches or line of succession from the Apostle Paul? Are those churches not considered a true line because he was not the “Rock” or because there is no record of them?
