Apparitions and witnesses of these apparitions

We know that there are many that have claimed to have seen apparitions. Mainly of Mary, yes we know that. A handful of them…relatively speaking, have been authentic I believe.

Not just Mary however. There have been apparitions of Jesus, there have been reported apparitions of saints like Padre Pio. Sister Faustina and her famous image.

In the cases with Mary, we know that the witnesses claim that she is as real as anything. To the point where they even touched her. Meaning it was more than a ghostly appearance.

When the gospels make mention of the appearance of Christ after the resurrection, the gospels seem to go out of its way to mention that the doors and windows were closed, and yet Jesus entered.

I find these to be related. Keep in mind, apparitions are real. Meaning, if the apparitions of Mary are real, and we believe she has been assumed into heaven (body and soul) then is it wrong to insinuate that Christ appeared to the multitudes in this same manner?

Why does the bible go out of its way to mention the closed doors and windows when Jesus became present to the disciples on several occasions?
 
It could be to differentiate between him and, say, a vampire. Vampires can’t enter through closed doors and windows without permission.
 
Well, I do believe that some apparations are real. But the RCC is very careful to not declare miracle before it is sure that is the case. On the day our new Pope was elected there was a picture of Pope Francis talking to the crowd at St.Peters square, this pic was on FB, and it included a transparent statue. The picture was removed kind of fast, but I don’t think it was a real apparation. I did send it to a Cardinal I know, but have not get a answer yet, and think I never will. So you see, if The Church scream “miracle” every time something “strange” or “highly unusual” pop up the real miracles or apparations will suffer a lot of inflation. No, we must be sure that it is true.
 
The authors of the bible went out of their way to indicate that the doors and windows were locked, but they also went out of their way to ensure it was conveyed that Christ was there in full physical form. When we put these two things together, it tells us that Christ (or in your question, Mary and the Saints–those already in Heaven) have entirely transcended the laws of the Earth. Christ is the ultimate paradox in all things, this included. Able to pass through walls, through locked doors, through locked windows, and yet consisting of real matter and mass; tangible.

the bible also goes out of it’s way to say that Jesus Ate, and they could touch him. That he was not merely a ghost

Yes the apparitions seen by witnesses over the years also state that they are not seeing ghosts.

For such apparitions the Church has a process of discernment. This is very clear when we read diaries of saints who speak of them, or when we attempt to read the works of, say, s. John of the Cross and s. Teresa of Avila.

An apparition either is supernatural or it isn’t. If it isn’t, it’s the product of our mind. If it is, it can be (a) a vision from God, be it Him, a saint, or an angel of the Lord, (b) a visit from a soul in Purgatory who needs special prayers, (c) a suggestion of the devil, regardless of how beautiful or horrible it looks. When the Church affirms an apparition is supernatural and that what was spoken does not contradict the faith, we call them “private revelations”, and we do not have to necessarily believe in them, but we are safe to do so. If we put our faith in any vision outside of those acknowledged and approved by the Church, we are taking a big risk.

There have been apparitions that have been accepted by the church. Those are the apparitions I am referring to, and in those apparitions the witnesses do not speak of them as ghosts.

The witnesses for example claim Mary is a very real presence. Not just a ghostly presence.

Again, we believe that Mary has been resurrected. Body and soul. My point in the bible makes a point to let us know the doors were locked and windows were closed. In several of the appearances.
