Yesterday I watched a program on the apparitions of Our Lady to St. Catherine Laboure and it briefly showed a related apparition to a Jewish man around the same time. Can anyone provide more information about this apparition? I am particularly interested in the painting in the chapel that celebrates this secondary apparition.

His name was Alphonse Ratisbonne, an agnostic Jew. A Catholic friend of his gave him a Miraculous Medal, and some time after that the Blessed Mother appeared to him. Both he and his brother converted (I think he may have become a priest or monk) and spent the rest of their lives evangelizing Jews.
