Appreciating our constant guardians

Our Angels, thank you for your inspiration, intercession and love. We look towards your joyful company, in the fulfillment of creation and redemption in worship of our God.

Holy Angels, guardians of humankind, thank you for your protection and guidance throughout the centuries. You are creatures of glorified spirit, yet you love our unworthy kind.

We comprehend little of our constant companions and many persons do not believe in you. Forgive our frequent ingratitude and neglect, in our failure to submit lovingly to the holy life that you seek to engender and administer. Please bring into our lives all that God means to offer through you.

Angels of God please intensify your intercession and guidance for our loved ones, and for all souls.
Intercede that we escape the ingratitude of Eden to remain innocent of sin.
Help everyone who implores your intercession and all those who do not know to do so.
Pray for those who seek purification in Purgatory. Lead all into your communion with God.

Saint Michael, our guardian angels, and all dear saints of heaven, please inspire us with gratitude for God’s merciful love. Each day let us rejoice in His creation and in His redemption of humankind. Help us to live with peace that blesses all persons and events that we encounter, whether pleasant or difficult.

Our dear Heavenly Family, many of us forget to call upon you, and entire societies feel unable to ask your intercession and inspiration—but please kindly accept the need in our hearts and souls as prayer for your assistance. All Saints of Heaven please continually intercede for the completion of God’s will in our lives and in our world. Offer for us the treasures of your union in Christ’s redemption.

Thank you for this prayer Trishie,I am continuely forgetting and remembering my guardian angel…I feel I need more reminders during the days

I went back to saying the Angel of God prayer this past year. I hadn’t said it since I was little. I’m trying to get back to being like a little child again in my belief.

I think the pop culture obsession with angels (mostly from some new age or Hollywood perspective ) turned me off to the angel idea for a few years. I also don’t enjoy hearing angels referenced in all kinds of sappy/soupy country and pop songs. Reading about St. Padre Pio and St. Josemaria Escriva and their dealings with guardian angels got me back on track. Let’s get the idea of angels away from all this twee cutesy and romantic stuff and back on a religious and awe-inspiring track.

Trishie, thank you for such a inspiring prayer. Sometimes a lot of us forget about our Guardian Angels When I was little girl I named my Guardian Angel ‘ANGELICA’ after the Sister who taught me in the first grade. Also St. Michael I keep Him close…I mentioned before that He was with me in a very desperate siituation I kept reciting the prayer to St. Michael and there is no doubt in my mind He guided me out of it. I thank God for giving each one of us a life long friend. God Bless.
