I like to share things on my Facebook, and today I feel like sharing some music.

Does anyone have any suggestions for music that would be appropriate for this Sunday and free to share?

Actually, if you have suggestions for the rest of Advent, I would like that, and maybe we could keep the thread for later as well, no reason to limit it to only a few weeks a year. 🙂

‘The Wind and the Wheat’ by Phil Keaggy. ‘Heartsongs’ by Hadley Hockensmith. Anything by Arvo Part. All Christians. Their music is very beautiful. Listen to ‘The Wind and the Wheat’ (title track), for example. It is stunning guitar work. Inspired, inspiring stuff.

Or you can share Traditional chant or polyphony. These can be found on YouTube.

Jesu, Joy of Our Desiring…

Holy wisdom, love most bright. Drawn by you, our souls aspiring, Soar to uncreated Light. Word of God, our flesh that fashioned, with the fire of life impassioned. Striving still to truth unknown, Soaring, dying 'round your throne.

Short choir lyrics. A song of longing and hopefulness amidst the uncertainty of life. Music interspersed with many half-notes, originally the work of Johann Schop.
