Not sure why they don’t track it as 51% disapproval rating. 49% is not a mandated or numerical approval rating.

I’m sure Trump supporters will school me!

The Poll is named the same as it has been for decades.

Why is it only with Trump that you want to change the title to one with more negative connotations?

TDS is really a thing.

If someone were trying to do a proper dichotomy the division would either be “approve or does not approve” or “disapproves or does not disapprove.” There are positions outside of approval that are not disapproval and positions outside of disapproval that are not approval.

But, we all know that, I guess! Except the Emperor sporting his new clothes!

Trump reminds me of a boss I once had that just could not handle bad news…I was required to present a monthly chart for economic performance to him…the company was a mess–much like the current state of the Executive Branch of the Federal Government–because of leadership (or, more appropriately, lack thereof).

So I changed the format of the charts, and changed the color for negative trends on the chart from red to green, and essentially presented it to him upside down, so the bad news looked like good news…he wasn’t much of a reader or analyst…much like Trump.

So, 49% approval and 51% disapproval might be a good thing, if presented properly to a guy who hates bad news!

So you automatically shifted the 4% unsure to the disapproval column?

What’s to keep me from exhibiting the same level of dishonesty as you and assigning that 4% to the approval column?

See where this is going? You didn’t like the result so you reinterpreted it to fit your world view.
