Has anyone heard of Barbara Reuss and the supposed apparitions of Mary at Marienfried, Germany in 1946? I am very suspicious of the information I have regarding this apparition but I have little. Thanx.

Yes, I would like to know if this incident was approved by the Catholic Church also and the procedure on how any of the accepted supposed sightings of our Holy Mother were confirmed as true. Just can’t seem to get a straight answer on that from anyone. I’m willing to bet, in most of these sightings (if not all), the people seeing the apparitions didn’t test the spirits personally as stated in 1 John 4. So from there it has to go to a counsel who decides whether it was the real deal or not. It must be frustrating to sit on one of these counsels. I mean think about it, if they decide it was legit and it wasn’t they have to answer for this mistake to God. A very tough job with quite a bit at stake.

May God Bless!🙂

Not approved. Not condemned. Can you read German?

**Bishop of Augsburg on 20 **March 2000:

"Auch wenn den Ereignissen von 1946 aufgrund einer Reihe von Bedenken der übernatürliche Charakter nicht zuerkannt werden kann, ist und bleibt Marienfried ein Ort des Gebetes, der Verehrung der seligsten Gottesmutter und einer intensiven Seelsorge …"

"Even if the events of 1946 due to a number of concerns of the supernatural character can not be granted, Marienfried is and will be a place of prayer and adoration of the Blessed Virgin and intensive pastoral care …"
