You have a few options:what are the approved catholic bibles for teens?
thanks
You have a few options:
The Catholic Youth Bible - St Mary’s Press (NRSV and NABRE translations)
Live Youth Bible: Catholic Edition - HarperOne (NRSV)
Prove It! The Catholic Teen Bible - Our Sunday Visitor (NABRE)
Fireside Catholic Youth Bible - Fireside (NABRE)
even though it tends to have a liberal tilt I like what is offered in st mary’s catholic youth bible.what are the approved catholic bibles for teens?

There is an easier Bible: Good News Translation. It’s cheap too. It’s approved by many denominations. Look for the Catholic Edition. There are teen editions.
Also, the Catholic Truth Society publishes a Jerusalem Bible (very good!!) with the Grail Psalms (I know, not the best), but it’s quite good for teenagers. It’s easily read, though a paraphrase, it’s a beautiful, smooth edition!
For the younger teens in class that need an easy to read bible, I been considering the the breakthrough bible also from st mary’s. Your choice between the NABRE and the RSV-CE
The 19 dollar ignatius tends to be the the new testament one (black cover). Its a great book if you are planning to cover just the NT. I had the full bible from ignatius (red cover) and found the fonts used to be hard to read for very long. If you surf over to st mary’s website you can download a digital sample of their bibles.Yeah, so the youth coordinator at my Parish says that the Yute’s Bible is $21, yet the Ignatius Bible, paperback, is $19.95. What does the youth Bible have that a normal one doesn’t, to make it that much more expensive? To me, the youth’s version is more complicated.
The entire Ignatius RSV 2CE does come for about $20, or even a little less at Barnes and Noble. It is paperback and the font is much larger than the NAB I have also read. You may have had a compact version, which I have also seen available, or may have had the leather bound version, which used to come with yellowish paper, of which reviewers complained it was more difficult to read. The 19 dollar ignatius tends to be the the new testament one (black cover).
