Archaeologists unearth 'world's first church'

After Mass today i picked our parish magazine and read that archeologists have found the world’s first church. I googled it and found it here:

That is very interesting. I believe I read about this back when the article first came out but it wasn’t an article from Christianity Today. Instead, it was an article from somewhere else. Anyway, I can assure you and everybody else that this church was most definitely a Catholic Church. Jesus founded the Catholic Church. No other church existed for 1,000 years until the Orthodox schismed from the Catholic Church in 1054. Sure, there were heresies that existed during those 1,000 years but they were condemned by the Catholic Church which is the one true Church.

Good news indeed, but could the report not have spared the comment on tourism It automatically gets skeptics to say “see I knew it, there was a catch in here, it was all about the tourist money!”
