Can we pray for the archangel Michael to help us with evil spirits or evil presences.

Yes.

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God,
cast into hell Satan, and all the evil spirits, who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen…

I pray to him every day.
I am now asking him to help the Iraqis as he helped the chosen people.

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the malice and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen.

Can we pray for the archangel Michael to help us with evil spirits or evil presences.
Of course. He is the prince of the angelic host. He cast Lucifer and the apostate angels out of heaven when he rebelled against God, and he will again cast Satan and his legions into the pit of fire at the end of time.

The holy father Leo XIII had two mighty prayers established to ask for the intercession of this archangel. The long one he reserved to priests and bishops, and is now part of the Exorcismale in the Rituale Romanum. The shorter one he gave to all the People of God, and he also he asked to be recited at the end of Low Mass along with some other prayers. After the liturgical reform, these “Leonine prayers” are no longer recited at the end of Mass, but St. John Paul II mentioned that the prayer to St. Michale should be recited often.
May prayer strengthen us for the spiritual battle we are told about in the Letter to the Ephesians: ‘Draw strength from the Lord and from His mighty power’ (Ephesians 6:10). The Book of Revelation refers to this same battle, recalling before our eyes the image of St. Michael the Archangel (Revelation 12:7). Pope Leo XIII certainly had a very vivid recollection of this scene when, at the end of the last century, he introduced a special prayer to St. Michael throughout the Church. Although this prayer is no longer recited at the end of Mass, I ask everyone not to forget it and to recite it to obtain help in the battle against forces of darkness and against the spirit of this world
Someone posted it above (“Saint Michael Archangel, defend us in battle…”). I love the Latin version:

Sancte Michael Archangele
defende nos in praelio.
Contra nequitiam et insidias diaboli esto praesidio.
Imperet illi Deus, supplices deprecamur.
Tuque Princeps militiae celestis
Satanam aliosque spiritos malignos
qui ad perditionem animarum pervagantur in mundo
divina virtute in infernum detrude.
Amen.

(Suggested: + 3 Gloria Patri)

Do not forget to entrust yourself to the protection of your own guardian angel. If only we knew how mighty our guardian angels are, and what sort of authority they have received to fight back the devil and keep him from harming us…

In general remember that “He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world” - Christ in your heart shines in the darkness, and the darkness cannot comprehend Him, so you are always, in Christ, a child of the light to whom the devil cannot look at without feeling already defeated.
