This guy must be related to the former STEM school administrator (also gay) who a couple years ago confronted two high school kids who were protesting abortion on the sidewalk outside the school and screamed rants and obscenities at them on video and ended up getting fired when it went viral. The kids were not Catholic but the school in question is directly across the street from a humongous Catholic church complex, one of the biggest in the Philadelphia archdiocese.

I do not understand why these guys think it is okay to bully people who are exercising their right to free speech. I guess they think it will make them popular, or perhaps they think they are immune from ordinary politeness because they themselves feel oppressed or something. It’s pretty pathetic.

Actually he was extremely popular with the students and parents and there was a big petition drive and meetings, etc. to try to keep him on.
Unfortunately he had clearly broken a number of rules to the point where it was pretty hopeless and I believe he resigned very quickly.
Followed by him giving some interviews where him and his partner talked about all the pressure the guy had been under and past trauma he suffered and how he just snapped, etc.

In fairness, I do not doubt that these people probably did suffer some trauma in the past and it resulted in them acting out extremely badly, but it is unacceptable especially when directed at minors. It also makes me wonder how many times the person involved has behaved in this way and it’s been hushed up without it making the papers.
