Interesting. It sounds like he is doing somethinmg right. I do not know of the Archbishop, but I have been told that more vocations come from conservative “by the rules” parishes, than from liberal “whatever you want” parishes.

Please educate us about Archbishop Flynn.

Love & peace in Christ,

This is the same man who everyone has been attacking lately for supporting higher taxes, isn’t it?

Remember folks, the reverred John Paul II spoke about a new springtime in the church. This is only the beginning.

Yes, the two things have nothing to do with each other. He can be a perfectly othodox bishop who still can’t resist making governmental tax policy prescriptions.

I also want to remind everyone that the ordinations this year are the result of seeds planted and cultivated 5 -10 years ago.

Then for the love of God, let’s keep planting!
We just had 3 new priests ordained Friday & I found out today that our Parochial Vicar is being moved to his own parish and we will get one of the “Noobs” who all seem to be friends of his, so I feel like we are in good hands…not to mention the fantastic pastor that we have. Glory Be To God! :irish1:

Absolutely! I vacation in the Florida panhandle every year, so I’ve been to Mass at a couple of parishes there. Keep up the good work!

In Houston only one man was ordained this year and the seminary is only half full. My archdiocese has over a million Catholics, so this is pretty bad. I think this situation will turn around, but it takes time.
