Please pray for his safe return. :gopray:
VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - The Catholic archbishop of the Iraqi city of Mosul was kidnapped Monday in what the Vatican called an “act of terrorism.” Vatican spokesman Joaquin Navarro-Valls told Reuters the Holy See had received news of the kidnapping of Archbishop Basile Georges Casmoussa in Mosul. The spokesman demanded his immediate release but gave no details of the abduction.

These beasts have no respect for any humanity. Pray for his safety, but it doesn’t look good. May God convert the hearts of those who have kidnapped him.

Me and my father were watching MSNBC when they reported a Flash News bulletin.

This is an outrage. Do they have ANY respect for life? Obviously not, because they continually perform these acts of terror. I pray that Archbishop Casmoussa is able to make a safe return to his diocese and continue to lead the people of his diocese.

I saw this to and its crazy! Just because they’re different than you. Lord have mercy on them! They know not what they are doing. If this continues we could see a huge war break out. I pray to God it doesn’t happen! Say a rosary every day! The rosary is the weapon.

Padre Pio “Don’t worry, work and pray.”

The Vatican is DEMANDING the release of Archbishop Casmoussa. They are not REQUESTING or anything else, they are demanding. I don’t think that people realize the importance of this event. This is horrible.

We must continue to pray for Archbishop Casmoussa’s safety and the salvation of his captors.

2000 years of Christain Presence in Irag is in serious trouble.
These Catholic’s say The Our Father in the same language as Jesus
Pray not only for his safety but the safety of the whole Church.

gus, I agree. This could have serious ramifications in the Middle East.

We can only pray for this situation to get better.

Sooner or later, people are going to come to realize that the Koran teaches Muslims to persecute and kill Christians and that the only respectful life is those that follow the prophet.

Islam is not a peaceful religion at it’s core.

Pray, pray, pray for the conversion of the Muslims!
Pray, pray, pray that Catholic leaders will stop saying that Islam is just another religion with many good things to offer.

I wonder how many cars would’ve exploded by now if this had been a kidnapped shiek. What do they have against Christians anyway? This is so sad. I will pray for the archbishop’s strength.

Maybe its just a coincidence but I find it strange that the Archbishop was kidnapped just after the news about Hitler’s attempted kidnapping of Pope Pius XII was published. I wonder if it inspired them.

A horrible thing…I heard it on the news also…I pray and will continue …I pray the Mosulm hearts are changed and hope the Archbishop is released…

May Our Lord keep the Archbishop and bring him home safe to his people. This is awful. Nothing is sacred to them, but then, I guess that’s emphasizing the obvious.

Read the Koran to understand what they have against Christians.

I hope this all gets better. One anti-Christian act is enough (the killing of the Egyption Copt family in Jersey City), but a second (Archbishop Casmoussa’s kidnapping) just adds sourness to the already bitter taste in my mouth. What next? I dare not think, because these terrorists will stop at nothing.
