Archbishop Ron Feyl - "Order of Exorcists"

Is this guy legit? In good standing in the Church, or what?
I heard him being interviewed on the radio.

Found this about him online;

Catholic Archbishop Ron Feyl has been in catholic ministry for over 30 years. His episcopal orders were conferred in 1979 by Archbishop Gregory Michael David Voris, who adheres to the faith of the Seven Ecumenical Councils and the Three Ecumenical Creeds. Roman Catholic Lines of Apostolic Succession (Carlos Duarte Costa). Archbishop Ron Feyl is the Presiding Bishop of The Sacred Order of Saint Michael the Archangel and Chief Exorcist for the Order of Exorcists which is under the Catholic jurisdiction of a Traditional “Old” Roman Catholic pre-Vatican two, with valid lines of Apostolic Succession, and remains united to the Roman Catholic Church as per the “Dominus Iesus” issued by the Roman Catholic Magisterium in the year 2000, signed by Pope John Paul 11 on June 16, and Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger on August 6, which states: “The churches which, while not existing in perfect communion with the (Roman) Catholic Church, remain united to her by means of the closest bonds, that is, by Apostolic Succession and a valid Eucharist, are true particular churches.”

Legit, or not? What’s the deal here??

Is he legitimate or in good standing with the Catholic Church? The answer is obviously no. Don’t take seriously anyone you hear on “Coast to Coast.”
 
It is my understanding that the “Old Catholic Church” does not accept the Magisterium of the
Catholic Church. It was a bishop that broke away (after Vatican 1) and therefore they have a valid, but illicit priesthood. I hope I said that correctly, and would appreciate correction from someone that can do so.

Where is he archbishop of? Catholic bishops must have a see.

Every Catholic bishop I have ever heard of is along the lines of “Most Reverend Joseph Bloggins, Bishop of Glencrackie”; they do not have to post a CV of their “valid lines of Apostolic Succession” and reference a CDF declaration to “prove” their Catholicism.
 
Thought someone on this website might have been familiar with this guy and have a concrete legitimate answer concerning this. Thanks anyway everyone for the opinions and speculation.

I answered your two questions:

“Is he legitimate?” and “Is he in good standing with the Catholic Church?”

The answer is “no” to both questions. There is no speculation about it. If you want confirmation, call the chancery office of the Diocese of San Bernardino, as that seems to be the area Mr. Feyl is based in.
 
Sorry to resurrect this thread but I happened on it from an outside link I was google-ing.

I have a friend that is getting involved with this bishop and with his organization. My friend is not Catholic but is into ghost hunting and the likes. He has sent me some links and then I did my own research. I get a funny feeling about all of this when he is talking about it. It doesn’t look like he is affiliated with a diocese and I wonder myself if he is affiliated and in good standing. I don’t usually get CV’s and Linkdin links when I google a bishop or AB.

My friend asked me recently if I could get my pastor to bless some holy water if he provided the ingredients. I thought that was funny because if this AB were ligit I would think he could have access to holy water or bless it himself 🤷

I know the CC takes exorcisms really seriously and that it is a process. My friend is in another state and is not a Catholic so does not have the experience to discern if this guy is in good standing with the CC. I will discuss this with him, of course, but wonder myself if this guy is legit and if not, what he is doing.

It bothers me when people get into the New Age-y ghost and demon hunting fad. I

I agree that it doesn’t sound right. Your last sentence is a good discernment, in my opinion.
 
Please be advised that there is NO Catholic order called Order of Saint Michael the Archangel with the letters SOSM that is listed in the directory, which would follow the name of clergy in the catholic Church. There is no Catholic order or society that begins with “Sacred Order” and none that I have found that involved the name of “Saint Michael”.

Most (if not all) of those who replied to the original question in this thread have stated something to the effect “that it just doesn’t feel right” or advising to stay away. Although I have had no dealings with this “Archbishop”, you should follow your discernment of spirit and regard this and those like this with extreme caution. God gave us this discernment for a reason and “if it doesn’t feel right” go with that feeling as it is the Holy Spirit within you that is giving guidance.
 
Seems as though there us somewhat of a difference if opinion. I would have to agree that it certainly is suspect, and would also speculate that Rome would not support this group, however I would also follow by saying this.
At least they’re doing something. The Holy Sea is very aware of the exponentially growing need for this service in the world. Why don’t they form a group like this that is approved, or work with this group to settle any validity issues.
