The Diocese of Peoria statement seems to indicate that New York still has some legal options available. I wonder what those are. It seems like having the higher court reject the appeal would be the final word.
Please just move this holy man already, and put him somewhere that the faithful can actually venerate his tomb. Under the sanctuary in a crypt inaccessible to the public is not how it’s done these days.
