I think to attest to him being mentally unbalanced is pushing the envelope a bit. After all there’s a lot of actions the Pope has taken that if I were in Cardinal Vigano position I would no doubt be saying the same thing.

I will say, when I heard the name “Higher Committee of Human Fraternity,” it sounded like something Julian Felsenburgh would have come up with in “Lord of the World.”

When Pope Francis signed the Abu-Dhabi thing that, at least on its face, opposed the universality of the Catholic faith as willed by God (and would be interpreted as that by the other signer), he himself actually said something equally as concerning, which didn’t get much attention:

Today, we too in the name of God, in order to safeguard peace, need to enter together as one family into an ark which can sail the stormy seas of the world: the ark of fraternity.

It’s easy to see how an even a reasonable person might see the Pope as proposing a kind of anti-Church.

As for some “New World Order,” the current world order is already opposed to the Gospel enough, as it always has been and always will be (cf. 1 John 5:19). As Christians, we should not fear some new version–“Sufficient for the day is the evil thereof” (Matt 6:34)–but the Church shouldn’t just go along with it–the Church must always instead be a leaven by teaching–confident in alone being the custodian of the unique deposit of faith of revealed by God–and baptizing the nations to order all things in the spirit of Christ, that the Father’s “will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.”

Any reasonable person would only see that comment “as proposing a kind of anti-Church” if they embraced hatred and division as aspects of God to be preserved. That’s what Pope Francis was teaching against in this document. We must find the love of God expressed in fraternity as the highest good of mankind.

This is slander. I do not listen to anti-Catholic slander, even from Catholics. Freemasonry? Really? Illuminati wasn’t ominous enough? There is no revolution. Catholics have no business engaging in support for this sort of low-brow, illogical, sensational conspiracy theory. So what if some secular atheists like something Pope Francis has said. That does not make him part of any secular conspiracy any more than an atheist who likes Lord of the Rings would make Tolkien an atheist. There is no logic to this argument. No charity either.

I do not doubt demons are at work. I wouldn’t be so sure though who they are being most successful with.

Fraternity is an objective and can be sought in unison with other goals, but is not the highest goal. It goes hand in hand with evangelization, but the latter is more important. I’m not saying that fraternity is being deliberately overemphasized, but IMO prefacing comments about fraternity with statements of what is the highest good could be helpful.

I will always respect Pope Francis as he is my pope, and yet he frustrates me by being overly ambiguous in a time where Catholics especially adolescents and young adults (like myself) need a strong leader and father figure…one who clearly leads us on a path to Heaven.

The voice of pope Francis is just one voice in the 2000 year old history of the church. I find the voices of popes Benedict and JPII much less ambiguous and stronger when it comes to leading the faithful on a clear path. This is where you are more likely to find strong, father figures.
