Now if only we could out Bishop to do the same.
Historically, a small number of U.S. bishops, including Cardinal Roger Mahony of Los Angeles; Bishop Matthew Clark in Rochester, N.Y
.; Auxiliary Bishop Thomas Gumbleton of Detroit, and Bishop John Kinney of Saint Cloud, Minn., and until this year, Archbishop Harry Flynn, have allowed sash-wearers to receive Communion.

Agreed. Same goes for Cardinal Mahoney.

Cardinal George is denying it in Chicago, unfortunately many local pastors are not so willing to follow his directive.

It will be interesting to get feed back from people attending cathedrals in places such as Rochester. Perhaps this thread will surface again after Pentecost Sunday?
