Vichnaya pamyat, i blazhenny prokoj!

Really saddened to hear this.

Memory eternal!
With the Saints give rest, O Christ, to the soul of Your servant Priest Serge where there is no pain, nor sorrow, nor suffering, but life everlasting. Amen

The last report had sounded so suddenly hopeful…
This is a great loss. Condolances to our brothers and sisters in Ireland and beyond.

May the Lord welcome him into His Kingdom where there is no more pain or suffering.

O God of all spiritual and corporeal beings, You Who trampled death, broke the power of Satan and granted life to the whole world, now, O Lord, grant rest in a place of light, freshness, and peace, where there is no pain, sorrow, or mourning to the soul of Your departed servant, the Priest Serge , whom You have taken to Yourself.

As You are a gracious God and the Lover of mankind, remember his many years of service to You, forgive him every transgression committed by word, deed, or thought, as there is no man alive who has not sinned, for You alone are without sin and You are the Resurrection and the Life, O Christ our God, and we render glory to You, together with Your Eternal Father, and Your most Holy, gracious, and life-giving Spirit, now and ever and forever. Amen.

May his memory be eternal and blessed.

We ask you to remember in your prayers the parishioners in Dublin , who are surely devastated today by this news , also all those throughout the world who have Served with Fr Serge in the past .

Information has come from Kyr Hlib that the Priestly Parastas will be on Friday 18 Nov and his burial on Saturday 19 Nov - as yet times of the Services and places are not known

Above is the most recent photo of Fr.Serge. And to our knowledge is the last recent photo of him and the last baptism he did. it is of my Wife, Son and I with Fr.Serge center.

He baptised our Son on the feast of Pentecost in June just passed. I conversed with him through e-mail over the years and sometime after the baptism of our Son. I had no idea he went into hospital in August and just got news that he had passed away the day after he went to sleep in the Lord.

It is a sad loss indeed and I dont know how to respond to such a loss.

Vichnaya Pamyat Fr.Serge, good friend and priest of the parish.

I am so shaken to hear of this.

I knew Fr Keleher when he was in Toronto working on his Master’s thesis and he was the pastor of St Seraphim of Sarov church here.

He was a man of many talents and languages, entirely devoted to the Eastern Church and he knew many people in many Eastern Churches who esteemed him for his knowledge and holiness.

He was an Irish patriot as well.

He will be sorely missed, especially by all who had the privilege of knowing that truly great Eastern Father.

He once came to our family home when my grandfather, Fr. John, died. He spoke and explained the meaning of “Eternal memory.” He said that it is impossible for people to remember someone eternally. But God does, as God has Eternal Memory.

Then he said that my grandfather lives because God remembers him - eternally. Fr. Keleher inspired and introduced me to the study and practice of Eastern Christianity.

I personally owe him so much.

I need to cry right now.

May his memory be eternal.+++

Let’s all pray a rope/rosary for the repose of his soul.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, grant rest to the soul of your servant, the Priest Serge!

I pray that we have not lost a friend, but gained a powerful advocate in Heaven. May his memory be eternal!

The funeral arrangements are now available

All services will be held in the Seminary Church of Holy Cross in Clonliffe College

Friday - 18.00 - 21.00 Priestly Parastas

Saturday - 10.00 Funeral Liturgy , with the burial afterwards in Mount Jerome Cemetery.

Sunday’s usual morning Liturgy will also, I understand, be served in the Seminary Church

Eternal Memory

My husband and I stopped today at the Fort Ross cemetery to pray for the reposed, especially for +Father Serge.

It’s a long time since I have been to Jenner. A beautiful place for the body of a holy person to be interred. + + +
