Are aborted babies in heaven?

Could you point me to some authoritative documents or writings that would support the relatively new concept that is purported that aborted babies are in heaven with Jesus? I’m trying to reconcile this idea with the definitive facts of baptism and it doesn’t seem to be consistent. I certainly can’t find anything in the early church that would support this new concept. Is this really just a merciful hope that people give to mothers of aborted babies?
