A priest I know told me that the swing by young seminarians in the present day is towards complete orthodoxy. If that is true then perhaps in the future there will be fewer reports of abuses or innovations to the liturgy than there is now. However, I was wondering about the catholics at this forums and what their observations are in regards to the abuses/innovations that have plagued the Church and its liturgy since Vatican II. Do you think things are finally settling down and orthodoxy is returning to our parishes? Or are things about the same or worse with regards to abuses/innovations? Sometimes I think things are getting better and then I will read about something a parish is doing in my diocese that borders again on innovation or abuse.
