Im sure your heart is in the right place but your theology is a bit questionable. Regardless if they asked for, or received forgiveness, that is not assurance that when Christ preached in the land of the dead that they decided to follow Christ…and to assume they were forgiven by God, while it was well within His merciful ways, our declaring He did presumes we are capable of doing what is the exclusive right of God.

So did they obtain salvation? We can certainly hope so, as we should hope everyone will obtain salvation, but because only God can grant salvation, only He knows.

In the Eastern Orthodox Church as there are in the other Eastern Churches there is an icon of the Lord Jesus at Easter that shows Him putting out His two hands to Adam and Eve to bring them forth back into Paradise.

Adam and Eve are Saints in the Catholic Church. Their feast day is Dec 24. This means that they are in heaven with Jesus.
