LifeIsAbsurd;7495111It’s a beautiful poem said:
I’m not confusing anything, I’m just quoting old Matt, proto hippie that he was.

What do you think the poem’s metaphor of the “receding tide” stands for? It’s the faith. A lack of faith may or may not be nihilism, but it is certainly agnosticism or atheism.

I had to laugh, because I thought of Bill O’Reil them up.
“the tides go in, the tides go out”

I wonder if whether Mr. O’Reilly has made nothing up, or everything up.

“Living is easy with eyes closed, misunderstanding all you see.”

That’s for you, girl! 😉

Does Bill O’Reilly understand why the tides go in and out?

He need only ask an astrophysicist to find out.

That is all any of you have to do to find out.

I conclude that Bill O’Reilly is ignorant of the world.

He may know the world quite well, but still be ignorant.

To me, it is more uselful to know when the tides go in or out, and by how much.

You need a tide chart for that!
As John Lennon sung, “I mean it must be high or low.”

Cheers!
