Are all other worlds deprived of God?

They would have to be given a soul but their brain would not be capable of interpreting or communicating to the same extent as the human brain. It would be like a rudimentary computer restricted to simple programmes.

Jesus wasn’t born yet, so Satan didn’t know what he looked like. Besides, Genesis 3 does not say anything about Satan being in the garden

Accretion discs from supernova explosions will be increasingly metal-heavy and hydrogen-poor, meaning that suns will not ignite at the center of the accretion discs. The universe will get darker and colder

The upshot of this is that it would be unconvincing to say that any one planet is a “test” or “experiment” for any other, future planets, since we don’t know the past or future trajectory of the cosmos beyond these generalities.

What kind of a soul? Please explain, since I do not understand your connection of a rudimentary computer restricted to simple programs.

You certainly may freely express your interpretations. I do not fault you for doing so.

On the other hand, may I respectfully point out that the Catholic Church teaches that Satan, also referred to as the devil, was present in the “garden”.

Even if taken literally, this does not necessarily mean that the stars and other heavenly bodies were not also made for the benefit of other planets. It also does not preclude the possibility that the earth was made for the benefit of other planets. The Bible is silent on this. Nor does it state that the stars, other heavenly bodies, or even the moon, are lifeless.
As far as I can tell no one can prove that the earth isn’t the center of the universe.

Since there is, apparently, a final redactor, it becomes the province of the Catholic Church to determine Divine Revelation as carefully preserved by this redactor. This is no easy task. Therefore, the Catholic Church relies on the Holy Spirit as predicted by Jesus Christ in the Gospel of John, Chapter 14.

In this current age of many cultures and many kinds of historical theologies, we can rely on the Catholic Church to retain and maintain its Deposit of Faith.

A rational soul with insight and understanding of universal truths, objective values and logical principles. Only the immensely complex and highly efficient brain of an adult can serve as a means of formulating, expressing and communicating such abstract, profound knowledge of reality. That is why mentally retarded persons are not morally responsible for their behaviour. There is nothing wrong with their souls!

It’s not a dumb question but the answer I wrote (and then deleted) was remarkably dumb.

Still, if God wishes to make herptiles or birds rational, morally aware, and spiritually conscious He has the power to do so on earth and/or on other planets.

Just curious. Why wasn’t the word spiritual as in spiritual soul mentioned? Could it be that a spiritual soul is more than understanding…
No matter. I am more interested in the spiritual connection of human nature with a Supreme Spirit.

Thanks. The (latest) revised edition of the NAB was released in March, 2011. I wanted to purchase it (I have the Douay-Rheims on my Kindle, if it hasn’t been deleted) but it’s too expensive.

It is taken for granted that the soul is spiritual. I have never heard of a material soul!

The soul is certainly more than understanding but I wish to make the point that the brain is the physical means by which a person expresses and communicates thoughts, values and emotions - rather than the source of all human activity.
