Are Allah And Jesus The Same God?

Actually the Catholic Church teaches that we cannot judge whether any particular person will go to hell. We believe Jesus came to us to save us from the suffering of hell by showing us the way to eternal life. No Catholic can say you, as a Muslim, will go to hell. If they do they are speaking against the teachings of the Church and are presuming to know the will of God. I believe based on my limited knowledge of Islam that the difference between Catholicism and Islam is that Islam claims all non-Muslims will go to hell. I pray neither of us will be eternally separated from God’s love.

Actually, Jesus God said don’t judge at all, anyone. So I don’t - but one must ingage in retoric or communication just doesn’t get done - especially if the people you are talking to, like Adam and Eve, insist upon taking advanced Law before the prerequesites or mercy 101 and extenuating circumstances 401.

When you read the Bible, you’ll find many times where Jesus, peace be upon him, is praying to someone. You’ll also find times where he says that he was sent by someone. You’ll also find times where he says he does not do his own will, but the will of that someone.

That someone is Allah (the arabic for God). *That *is who Muslims worship.

I also want to make something clear. I can not point to any one person and say “you are going to hell” simply because i do not know two things 1.what lies in their heart 2. in what state will they die.

But in terms of belief, anyone who invents a lie against God and rejects the truth after it was clearly told to them, they will enter Hell and will abide therin forever.

The problem is that what we believe to be the truth is not what you believe and vice versa! Did you ever think that you might just possibly be wrong? If so, then what?

You’re basing your entire belief system on one man’s word with very little evidence to support his claims. Jesus never wrote one word about himself, but Mohammed not only tooted his own horn but gave himself the seal of approval from God in the scriptures that came directly through himself. Do you see nothing wrong with that? A man cannot vouch for himself the way he did!

Jesus was vouched for by his disciples who actually witnessed the miracles he performed and who wrote what Jesus taught. They all declared he “spoke with real authority”.

I do believe faith without works is dead, but you can not earn salvation. You will enter heaven only by the grace of God.

Do your beliefs about God matter? They do to God; He knows what is in your heart. I shall leave judgement up to Him. I believe that you and I may someday meet in heaven regardless of our religion as long as we do have faith and do love God with all our hearts.

Why any religion at all? I believe (I’m sayin’ that a lot on this post!) religion, in it’s simplest form is a belief in and reverence for God. Why do we have different religions? Why are there different species of trees? God loves diversity I guess!

As far as inventing a lie against God, if I have then I beg God for forgiveness for it was out of ignorance and not malice. I am aware that ignorance of the law is no excuse, (which version of the law, Judaism, Christianity or Islam, we must each decide) but I trust in God’s infinite wisdom, grace and goodness.

Muhammad was seeking guidance in a cave in Arabia a land dominated by Jinn worship. There were hundreds of various Jinns to be honored. In this cave a particular Jinn named Allah came to him and revealed himself as the “one true god” to be worshipped above all others. He then told his wife who said he wasn’t crazy and the rest is history.

Is a Jinn called Allah the same God of the Jews and the Christians? I don’t think so.

No, but he was the smartest Jinn that ever lived and he was the King of all the Jinns, a great royal Jinn! It wasn’t just any Jinn could fool Mohamad’s wife! Oh, by the way, In both the Christian, and Moselem religions, Jinns are Devils. I love the Pope!

Of course you are correct, my brother. However, you know this only by faith and not by knowledge - you cannot expect Muslims to be able to do what God has given only to the Baptized. Consider: The Father and The Son and The Holy Spirit are each completely seperate and distinct personalities. So, why are they not three gods? We learn it is because they all have the same nature. But, do not all cows have the same nature? Yet, is not each cow different from all others? Muslims believe that it was the Angel Gabriel that came to Mohamed peace be upon him to tell him that God has chosen Mohamed as his messenger. Mohamed’s duty would be to convey the message that there was only one God and that He alone is worthy of worship.

Again, Christian arabs say “Allah” when they refer to God. Allah means “the God”

Not all Jinns are devils. There are Muslim Jinns and Christian Jinns, etc. THey are another creation of God that have free will…so like humans, they can choose to be devilish or they can choose to be obedient to God.

So, how in the world do you think that “the god” you are talking about is our God? I mean, how in the world do you figure…!

What I am saying is that the ordinary way for one to attain salvation through Jesus Christ is through faith, baptism, and a life of discipleship, however, as is stated in paragraph 841of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, “The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind’s judge on the last day.”

I believe (here I go again) your religion does matter, being Christian gives you the optimal chance for salvation. While we can not assume non-Christians will be saved, neither can we assume that they will not be saved by the grace of God.

Yes, we should always seek the truth and reject what is false. I am confident Muslims believe they have the truth as are we, and we are both equally confident the other is false. All we can do is have faith in the sacrifice of Jesus for all mankind and pray for one another.
