Are altar servers supposed to respond in the Pauline Mass?

One thing that I find troubling is the lack of response by altar servers in the Pauline Mass. The kids usually just stand there and do not answer any of the parts that are said by the congregation. I never even see them say the Creed. Is this due to a lack of proper training or is it acceptable for them to not give any responses?

They should responding/singing just like the rest of the laity sitting in the pews.

Perhaps adults who train the children should remind them that they are laity and respond accordingly, and that the laity, like the clergy, respond to all parts proper to all Catholics? Or else, we should replace the children with adult altar servers? Afterall, this ministry of altar serving is not child’s play.
