Are angels higher than man?

Hi, are angels higher than man even if a man were to be in eternal life and perfect and without sin in heaven? I thought that since we are made in the image of God and since we are both physical and spiritual we have a dignity that is even greater than the angels. I know in sin and death we are lower than them, but can you please help clarify.
