Are angels saints?

I’ve noticed that the Church gives the title ‘Saint’ to certain angels (like Michael and Gabriel). I’m puzzled, because I thought the term applied to Christians in general, and canonized saints in particular, both categories who are humans, not supernatural beings. can you explain this?
 
Dear RN,

Even though Scripture uses “saints” as a synonym for “Christians,” today is refers to Christians of great sanctity. The Catholic Church uses the term to refer to those Christians who are in heaven. Further, it includes all those beings who are in heaven, including the angels. The Catechism of the Catholic Church (# 326) states: “…’heaven’ refers to the saints and the ‘place’ of the spiritual creatures, the angels, who surround God.”
