Are any marriages from other religions, especially those that are non-trinitarian, valid?

On other religions/sects (especially those that are not “trinitarian”) that bind a man and a woman in marriage. Is the marriage valid? Are the couples not committing adultery? What if one is a catholic who converted to the said other religion?

Thanks and God bless.

Hi,

The Catholic Churches recognizes non-Catholic marriages to be valid. This includes marriages between atheists. However, Catholics are obliged to be married through the Catholic Church. Otherwise, their marriages are not valid.
