Are Catholics and non-catholics supposed to leave a Mass When the Music Stops?

So you are saying that you can’t have a Mass without music.
What? I answered that already in my previous post, The GIRM states that music is an essential part of the Mass. It does not say that you must have music or you cannot have a Mass. To be clear: Yes, you can have a Mass without music. It happens daily and at one early Mass at our church. However, music is an essential part of the Mass when music is present.

it has been explained to me that once the celebrant enters the vestibule; it is OK for the for the congregants to leave

if the parish choir wants to continue to bellow;

that is on them, not me

i go to church at the largest parish in a large diocese

some moron designed the parking lot; yes i could stay for a half hour after Mass

but i don’t think i’d be focused on prayer

i’d be thinking; how can i get out of here without running over an usupervised child or an old lady in a walker?

i am not picking on “old people” because i am certainly not a spring chicken

i saw an “old lady” (sorry to use that “term”) knock over a man & a woman leaving the church parking lot on a motorcycle

the “driver” of the car looked panicked & confused

the motorcycle tipped over & the driver’s arm was quite bloody…

broken… who knows??

Do you understand the difference between enhance and essential?

Offertory, Consecration, and Communion are essential.

All else is enhancement.

Why the attitude? No need to answer your question.
My entire response spelled it out: The GIRM clearly states that “music is an essential part of the Mass.” Why do you question me and not the GIRM?

No attitude.
  1. CCC does not require music.
  2. You defeated your own argument:
To be clear: Yes, you can have a Mass without music. It happens daily and at one early Mass at our church. However, music is an essential part of the Mass when music is present.

How can something be both essential AND non-essential at the same time?

To state, "Do you understand the difference between enhance and essential? is attitude. I’m not 5 years old. Music is an essential part of the Mass of course when it is present. I never said that you cannot have a Mass with the essential part of music not being present. Of course you can. You assumed that and questioned me on it. After I stated that "However, music is an essential part of the Mass when music is present," you responded with “Do you understand the difference between enhance and essential?” And, then mentioned three things that are essential, and that all else is enhancement, therefore stating that even music in Mass is not essential, but an enhancement. So, what are you trying to say or prove here?
