Are Catholics becoming too soft-core?

In this culture where we have so much at our fingertips people don’t realize how easy and how much one can fall into materialism.

It’s good you gave the stations by St.Francis. St.Francis of Assisi main charism is that of material poverty.

Too soft core? Most Catholics aren’t even Catholic anymore…

I think part of the reason is much of the leadership of the past 50 years has been more concerned with appeasing the world than appeasing God.

Just my opinion.

Saint Paul said in romans 18 that you mortify the deeds if the flesh walking in the spirit and praying in tongues .praying in the spirit. Walk in the spirit walk in power it is that simple. So if you do not pray In Tongues you have lost one of the keys to the kingdom. This importance is emphasized when he said “I pray in tongues more than you all”

St Paul also said its no good praying in tongues if no one can interpret. The gifts of The Holy Spirit are for the Church. Not us individually.

Catholics as a whole? You’re grouping all Catholics together and calling all of us “soft-core.” I object strongly to being referred to as “soft-core”, for many reasons, not the least of which is the specific definition of the term. You **are **judging the attitudes or spirituality of more than a billion people based on your opinion.

I’m only encouraging all Catholics, including myself, to reach higher spiritually! So much of the traditional teaching of saints, which contain much spiritual wisdom, is being forgotten. Please watch The Wat of the Cross, by St Francis of Assisi which I link to in the opening post.
