Are Catholics required to believe in global warming?

I know we are all called upon to care for God’s Earth, which I personally do and take seriously, but are Pope Francis’s opinions on the definition/existence of global warming infallible according to infallibility definitions from the First Vatican Council? Thanks. MJ

No, the Pope’s views on global warming/climate change are not matters of faith or morals and therefore cannot be infallible. What is happening to the earth’s climate and what are the possible causes of any change are matters of science not faith.
