Are choir robes recommended?

Are choir robes recommended for Catholic choirs during mass? Are there any other guidelines for the location and demeanor of singers and musicians? Thank you.

Not all Churches have lofts so the chior may be seen.

I think it is an individual choice of each chior, I am not aware of any requirements but I am sure that those who are more knowledgable on this subject will post.
