Greetings, you know the Christian population is between 2.1 to 2.2 billion Christians world wide, and the recent secular governments has literally shut us down when we speak against the immoral evils of this world. I urge you Christians to remember what Jesus said when he was here on earth, “The world hates you because of me.”

So what exactly am I complaining about? I am complaining about the deafening silence! None of the 2.2 billion Christians (Catholic, Protestant, Eastern Orthodox) have come up and put on a protest against two most heated issues of our time, the legalization of abortion and gay rights agenda. This is not what Jesus want us to do. We cannot tolerate these behaviors.

Let me remind you these passages that Jesus said to his disciples and I urge you to read carefully.

“If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. But if he does not listen to you, take one or two others along with you, that every word may be confirmed by the evidence of the two or three witnesses. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the Church and if he refuses to listen even to the Church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector. Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loose of heaven.” (Dialogue between Jesus and his Apostles, the Gospel of Matthew Chapter 18 verse 15-18, St. Ignatius Bible RSV 2nd Ed.)

Commentary: Matthew’s Gospel that we Christians have to right to correct the sinful acts they have committed. That include living the life of homosexual behavior We have a right to tell him his fault. If he doesn’t listen to us, we tell it to the Church! Well, apparently, we Christians have departed away from this teaching. Do you not know that you yourself will be held accountible for failing to correct someone from stop sinning? In your final judgement day, you will stand before Jesus Christ and he will judge you! I cannot say what will happen, but I am very sure it won’t be pretty.

Now you might wonder? What business is it for us to tell people they are wrong. They’ll give you the excuse, “that is your belief! Not mine!”

It isn’t but when you die in your sin in your death bed, you don’t have a second chance when you stand before God.

Remember these words from St. Paul.

“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterer, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor the drunkard, nor reviler, nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God.” (1st Corinthians Chapter 6 verse 9-10)

So if you claim yourself to be one of those 1.2 billion or more Christians, and affrim to the follower of Jesus. You better make some action and do something. Plan a protest against these two evils behaviors. Stand UP for Jesus Christ!

Stand up for what he taught. Don’t be a coward and let this Godless society destroy this world. Christians can change the world if we do what Jesus tells us and taught others his way. There is no other way! There is only one Way, Jesus Christ. The Way the Truth, and the LIFE!

I believe it with no difficulty. English people for instance are beating down the doors of Catholic schools despite not being in any remotely meaningful sense catholic. Why? The schools are thought, rightly or wrongly, to be more disciplined, old fashioned and rigorous. In short better than the state secular alternative. Parish priests are obliged to spend a good deal of time which could and should be spent in pastoral work attempting to sieve through the lies and half truths often divorced often adultrous non mass goers tell to suit themselves. However this is an indignity the Church brings on itself in providing mainstream and well managed education in a secularised largely non Christian society.

Ireland is no different. 90% of schol provision is managed by the Church. A minority of the nominally catholic children enrolled are being brought up as mas goers. This discrepancy leads to what is a dispiriting farce at Holy Communion time as children and parents wander round church literally unable to recognise anything familiar about the mass.

I believe the Church should fre itself of involvement in delivering the schol curriculum,

You quoted drastically different figures there (difference of a billion), the average of the statistical analyses that have been done points to something closer to just over a billion Christians. And that assumes they are all devout to the letter of the Bible, which we can safely assume they are not.

It makes little sense to condemn people for sexual orientation, this is well established in all developed human societies, please stop being silly. I don’t condemn you for being Christian, you shouldn’t condemn anyone for being a homosexual. A far more general and sensible approach to morality in daily life is to follow the simple rule: “Please don’t be a dick”. This applies to sexual bigots. Please don’t condemn that which you neither understand, nor wish to understand.

I’m sure you have good intentions, and I appreciate those graciously, I just implore you to cease this kind of ridiculous discrimination. It’s not very becoming of people. If the Bible says homosexuality is wrong, then feel free to be the grown up and disagree with the Bible. Don’t believe everything you read.

You’re right we can’t but what can you do? All we have is numbers. They have the media, the politicians, Hollywood, public universities. All of which form a powerful gestalt for controlling the minds of the masses. Not to mention, they’ll also play the “oppressed minority” card.

I quote from the Narnia movie: “Numbers don’t win a battle.” What good is numbers when the minority has all the big guns? It’s like calling a large number of peasants to storm a castle held by a small (albeit elite) group but they all end up getting slaughtered because they just happen to have large cannons, boiling oil, and (in case of a more fantasy-ish setting), possess magic powers capable of wiping out troops with a single snap of fingers.

You need to wrench these weapons away from them if you really want to have a chance of winning this fight. However, running headlong in the manner that you’re describing is a fool’s errand.

Matthew 6:7 says:

Given that you apparently neither understand nor wish to understand the reasons why a lifestyle which condemns its practitioners to shorter life expectancy, greater risk of STD infection, loneliness, depression and suicide (among other pathologies) is itself thought to be wrong I suggest you practise what you preach.

Then again its possible you have read that homosexuality is natural and choose to believe some of what you read whilst ignoring other literature suggesting it is a form of arrested development indicatint narcissism and attention seeking.

The United Church of Canada, they are a Christian Church. Many of the United Church’s will marry homosexuals. The minister will then bless, in the name of God, those marriages.

Mainly because there are very few Catholic schools, also because the Catholic schools here don’t need their doors beating down, they accept people of different religions or none. One of the major Catholics schools near me accepted anyone (correct me if Im wrong, but so did Jesus…) and probably had a far greater ‘success rate’ or converts to Catholicism than you ever would.

This is all true but Jesus also said:

My point is that one should probably just resort to prayer. Yes, the gay agenda is wrong. Yes, there are those out there who hate the Truth. And yes, there are also those out there who are simply ignorant of God’s one true Church. It is a sticky issue but I think that a great deal of prayer is necessary to defeat the devil when it comes to this issue. Remember, evil does exist in this world but at the end when Jesus comes back again, Satan and evil will be defeated and those who were righteous will have won the battle. Praise be to Jesus Christ that there are still a number of us who are on the side of Truth.

Anyone who studied Scripture knows that it was not written in English. The NT was written in Greek and the so were the Epistles. The Church have condemned the sin of homosexuality. During the Church Age, the common practice was called pedastry (sexual relations between an adult man and a boy). Gay Activists have use this excuse that “homosexual” behavior is common in the past.

The Early Church Fathers condemned homosexuality even if that word is not straight from the Scripture. I am not a Sola Scripturist. Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition of the Church have condemned homosexual behaviors.

The account in Genesis of Sodom and Gommorah was destroyed because the men of Sodom seek to “know” the two male strangers in Lot’s house. Lot rebuke them and offer his daughters instead, but these men continue in their immoral desire to have sex with them.

The Bible makes this clear:

Lev. 18:22, “You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination.”

Lev. 20:13, “If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltness is upon them”

Rom. 1:26-28, “For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, 27and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. 28And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper.”

From the Early Church Fathers:

“[W]e have been taught that to expose newly-born children is the part of wicked men; and this we have been taught lest we should do anyone harm and lest we should sin against God, first, because we see that almost all so exposed (not only the girls, but also the males) are brought up to prostitution. And for this pollution a multitude of females and hermaphrodites, and those who commit unmentionable iniquities, are found in every nation. They are not my laws. They are God’s Law. It is a duty of a Christian to pass on what Jesus and the Apostles have taught for generations.

Hindu is paganism at its core. I believe all of the Hindus should be converted. They are ignorant of Scripure, and some of their militants have attack Christians. Though that is a different topic. They have killed Christians in their own country, despite the Pope’s objection.

Gen. 1 & 2 - we see from the beginning that the complimentarity of the sexes reflects God’s inner unity and His creative power and Fatherhood. God created man and woman to become one flesh which is consummated in the act of marital love.

Gen. 2:18 – throughout the creation story, God says “it is good” seven times. But when God pointed out that man was alone, God says “it is not good.” God then created woman. Man and woman therefore belong together by God’s design, according to His natural and supernatural law.

Gen. 2:24 – God created man and woman so that they could share communion. This communion is consummated in the marital act (which must be between a man and a woman). This communion is also a reflection of the eternal communion of the Blessed Trinity, who created man in His own image and likeness.

Gen. 19:24-28 - the Lord rained fire and brimstone on Sodom and Gomorrah as punishment for the sin of homosexuality. Homosexuality perverts God’s covenant with humanity.

Gen 13:13; 18:20: while homosexuals argue that the sin in Genesis 19 was the sin of “inhospitality,” these verses show that the Sodomites were evil and wicked people before the alleged sin of inhospitality. That is because the Sodomites were guilty of homosexuality, not inhospitality. In fact, 2 Pet 2:6:8 says that Lot witnessed their evil sexual practices “day after day.” The Sodomites’ sin was daily and pervasive.

Gen 19:5: this confirms that the Sodomites’ sin is homosexuality. Here, the Sodomites mistaken the two angels for men and, surrounding Lot’s house, ask to have sex with them. When the yell to Lot “bring them out that we may know them,” the Hebrew for “to know” (yadah) in Gen 19:5 means having sexual relations. See, for example, Gen 4:25 where “yadah” refers to sexual relations between Adam and Eve.

2 Pet 2:6-10: Peter also proves that the Sodomites were guilty of homosexuality. He says God condemned them for “licentiousness” and “lust of defiling passion,” which is where we get the title “Sodomite” for a homosexual. The Greek “aselgeia anastrophes” for lustful behavior is also found in Rom 13:13; Gal 5:19; Eph 4:19 and Jude 4.

Jude 7: Jude also confirms the Sodomites’ sin is homosexuality. Jude says they “indulged in unnatural lust” (Greek, ekporneusasai) and went after “strange flesh” (Greek, sarkos heteras) in reference to their homosexual sins.

2 Peter 2:4-6: Peter also reveals that the Sodomites are suffering in hell for their sins by comparing the Sodomites’ punishment to the eternal punishment of the evil angels. Just as God did not spare the angels when they sinned but cast them into hell, so He did the same with the Sodomites when He “condemned them to extinction and made them an example to those who were to be ungodly.”

Jude 5-7: Like Peter, Jude confirms that the Sodomites are in hell by saying that they had the same fate as the evil angels. Jude says just as the evil angels were condemned to hell, the Sodomites “likewise” (Greek, hos) acted immorally and are undergoing a punishment of eternal fire. “Undergoing” (Greek, upechousai) is a present participle which means their suffering is ongoing. See also the clear polarity between those who are saved (v.5) and those who are condemned (vv. 6-7,11,13).

Lev. 18:22, 29 - God commands a man never to lie with a male as with a female, or he will be cut off. This refers to supernatural death which is eternal separation from God. While the Old Covenant laws have been abrogated by the New Covenant, the Church has adopted their moral principles. Thus, the moral prohibitions on homosexuality still apply in the New Covenant, as Peter, Paul and Jude demonstrate.

Lev. 20:13 - God says that if a man lies with another man, he shall be put to death. From the very beginning, God has revealed that homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered, unhealthy, and mortally sinful.

Deut. 22:5 - cross-dressing is also considered an abomination before God.

Matt. 19:6 - after referring to God’s divine plan for man and woman, Jesus says a husband and wife become one flesh, which ultimately reflects God’s union with humanity through the Church. Homosexual unions pervert this divine truth of God’s love for and union with the human race.

Rom. 1:26 - also, when a woman lies with another women (lesbianism), this is unnatural and a perversion. God wants His children to be pure and holy as He is holy. Paul condemns all homosexual acts, whether committed by men or women.

Rom. 1:27 – Paul calls the practice of homosexuality shameless, unnatural and a perversity. It is contrary to the natural law, as it eviscerates the life-giving aspect of human sexuality and reduces it to a selfish, pleasure-seeking end.

1 Cor 6:9: Paul teaches that sodomites will not enter into the kingdom of God. The Greek word for “sodomite” (arsenokoites) literally means “male copulation” or “male sexual relations.” The Greek “arsen” means “male” and “koites” means “coitus” or “sexual relations.” Paul uses the same word in 1 Tim 1:10.

1 Tim. 1:10 - sodomites are called ungodly and sinners, unholy and profane, lawless and disobedient. They are called by God to chastity. It is important to note that homosexual attractions and inclinations, while disordered and dangerous, are not by themselves sinful per se. It is the acting out on homosexual attraction that is sinful. Those with homosexual desires can still live a life worthy of Christ by remaining chaste and pure as they abstain from acting out on their desires.
