Are dolphins people too?

I recently estimated that the average dolphin is about 83% as intelligent as the average human. I think this makes them intelligent enough to be considered “people,” but what exactly would determine whether or not something is a person?

The presence of a spiritual, rational soul. Dolphins do not have one and without it are not persons, no matter how intelligent they may be.
